“Things you own end up owning you”
Here is our campaign film on anti-consumerism. Even though not everything went exactly the way I wanted, this is the first assignment I can actually say I'm proud of. I must admit that this has been the most challenging project so far. I feel like for the first time on this course we had to act like professionals and carefully follow the stages of production. Me and my producer, Nuno Cabacing, have put a lot of effort in it. We had our pre-production meetings nearly every single day and kept informing each other about all the important things all the time. I'm fairly proud of what we've achieved and I truly enjoyed working with him on this project. I strongly regret missing the workshop on campaign films, when we were given the bier for this project. I believe I could've done it way better if it weren't for the fact I wasn't fully informed. However, thanks to the very successful cooperation, teamwork and organisation I believe it went quite well.
Lets start from the very beginning. I've spend a lot of my spare time thinking about this project. For a long, long time nothing has been coming to my mind and then I thought of consumerism. Nowadays people spent their money recklessly on loads of things they don't really need in their life. As a huge fun of "Fight Club" book, as well as the movie I reached for the common Chuck Palahniuk's quote.
To my surprise, after Nuno has posted the ad on Mandy.com we were receiving many, many applications from people interested in acting in our campaign film.
