Last week I arranged a little meeting for the camera people in my class so I can finally practise a little bit with the new camera we have at uni, Blackmagic URSA. Unfortunately, due to tight schedules I ended up being on my own, so I found myself a little space in the TV studio, where some of my colleagues were currently building a set for their film. Thanks to the studio, I got a chance to experiment a little bit with lightning that was provided in there. I filmed and edited a short camera experiment for Stevie, in which I explore the use of focus. The video is an attempt of possible ways of filming one of the shots we want to include in the film. It portrays a flash light coming through the eye patches of Stevie, right after she has had her surgery. All the shots included in the video are supposed to imply blindness and a POV of a person who has just regained her sight back. It is also a representation of possible colour palette in the film, as well as the general mood we want to create within the image.
